Static Screen Filter

The Static Screen is a simple, highly efficient screen, designed for solid/liquid separation.
The screen plate is supported by a frame that initially ensures quietness and even distribution of the effluent over the entire width of the unit and then accelerates the liquid down the screen plate. The filtered liquid is collected in the screen base. The screen plate and the frame form the Static Screen.

Thickening–Highly efficient thickening for any fiber processing application

Advantages of Pulp Thickening Screen:

  • No moving parts.
  • Zero or minimum maintenance costs.
  • Easy to install.
  • Silent running.

Materials:

  • Panel frame: painted carbon steel for fresh-water applications, stainless steel for seawater applications
  • Wall guides: AISI 304L for fresh-water applications, AISI 316L or duplex stainless steel for seawater applications
  • Screen panel: in all cases, stainless steel wedge wire screen.

Working Principle

Its operation is based on the Coanda effect. This means that the liquid to be screened forms a hydraulic attachment to the bars of the screen plate. These bars, with a triangular section, have rounded angles and have a wave configuration, as opposed to being straight. Thus, the liquid passes through the slots while the separated solids stay on the front face of the screen plate. The screen plate has three distinct angles.

This arrangement ensures:

  • Elimination of the majority of the liquid
  • Deceleration of the screenings
  • Drainage

Static Screen Filter for dewatering and cleaning

Static Screen Filter is used as a pre-filter in urban & industrial waste treatment plants to improve the performance of the clarifier by drastically reducing the load to many dewatering, sizing, and wastewater cleanup problems.
The Static Screen Filter (Hydraulic Screen is a static bow screen for various dewatering and cleaning purposes. It can be used for fiber and solids recovery, thickening process and waste waters, dewatering of chips, washing, and barker drum water.

Static Screen Filter for dewatering and cleaning

Static Screen Filter consists of a concave curved profile wire screen mounted in a frame with the screen openings perpendicular to the flow. A curved screen has greater capacity than a flat screen due to forces exerted as material flows against the curved surface. The screening ability of a screen is determined by its percentage of open area.

Used widely in the food, sugar, pulp, paper, and wastewater industries, there are no moving parts. The screens are self-cleaning with very low maintenance requirements.
